In the case a booking is created either by a travel agency in a GDS or by another airline in their Reservation System, the distribution PNR is the PNR present in the system of the booking source (GDS for travel agency or Reservation System for airline), while each airline in the itinerary will have a copy PNR, created in their respective Reservation System. E.g. Amadeus GDS being the same Reservation System as Altea Reservation, in the case the booking source is Amadeus GDS and the airline is hosted in Altea Reservation, the distribution PNR and the copy PNR are the same physical record. Same applies if an Altea carrier creates a PNR with other Altea carriers in it
