The Software Development Manager role will lead our growing Krakow Technology Site and manage the end to end software engineering process to deliver product development and customer activation projects for our industry leading airline eCommerce platform, Triplake.
The Role:
- Lead the Krakow Technology site of 15-20 technology team members (comprising direct and indirect reports) and foster effective communications with Branchspace teams based in other locations
- Direct managerial responsibility for Developers and QA staff. Foster their careers by finding opportunities for growth, coaching, addressing concerns, and implementing performance management
- Build and nurture effective, high performance teams that consistently deliver quality software
- Work with Project/Product Managers and CTO to plan and deliver projects
- Work with People Operations to recruit and onboard new team members
- Represent the teams in wider technical discussions across different stakeholder groups, and be effective in doing so by constantly broadening your understanding of the product and industry landscape.
- Continuously improve the company’s software engineering processes and practices
Requirements:
- Product oriented, data driven mindset
- Typically 8+ years of experience including more than 3 years in a technical leadership role
- Experience defining and influencing technical designs and processes across a team.
- Experience working with teams to ship a technology product, ideally SaaS based.
- A deep understanding of software development practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with technologies used in the project (one or more) Java, React JS, React Native, TypeScript, SQL and noSQL databases, AWS, SpringBoot.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
